A fully funded post bac position is available to study tumor microenvironment at the National Cancer Institute on the NIH main campus in Bethesda, MD. Specifically, this opening is for an ongoing project examining the role of tissue architecture and mechanotransduction in the establishment of metastatic lesions, using zebrafish as a model system.
It is desirable that candidates are proficient in cell culture, imaging, standard molecular biology protocols and handling of zebrafish. Previous experience with genetic analysis/engineering in zebrafish organism, in vivo imaging and image analysis are preferred. The NIH will provide funding and benefits. We value the ability to work in a team. Letters of reference should describe the candidate’s ability to communicate ideas and results, their motivation and technical accomplishments.
Requirements: Applicants should possess a B.S. and have a strong background in molecular biology and/or cell biology. Experience in zebrafish husbandry and molecular biology is preferred. Appointment duration is up to 3 years.
