In zebrafish and other teleost fishes, two paralogous genes, scg2a and scg2b, generate secretoneurin peptides SNa and SNb, respectively (Zhao et al., 2010, PMID: 20006654). SNa antiserum was raised against a peptide derived from golfish SNa (YTPQKLATLQSVFEE).
