Post doctoral fellowship in Zebrafish muscle biology and cancer at the Department of Integrative Medical Biology

Description of the project

The aim of the project is to elucidate molecular mechanisms in rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) in vivo. New and existing zebrafish genetic models for RMS will be used to study aspects of tumour progression and metastasis. The applicant will be expected to contribute to ongoing projects and will be encouraged to actively develop new lines of research in the field.

Qualifications

Eligible to apply are individuals with a PhD, and priority will be given to applicants who graduated within three years before the application deadline. If there are special reasons, the position may be offered to a candidate who has completed the doctorate earlier. The fellow must have a PhD in a relevant area such as tumor biology, developmental biology, stem cells science or equivalent and should have profound experience in molecular biology and preferably have technical experience from microinjections or transplantation of tissue. Prior experience in zebrafish research is considered a valuable merit. The successful candidate will be proficient in spoken English and have prior experience of writing reports/manuscripts in English. Personal suitability and the applicant's ability to collaborate within a research team is important.
