Postdoctoral Positions in Cardiac Development
Postdoctoral positions are available in the Waxman lab at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/research/divisions/m/mcb/labs/waxman/default/). Research in the Waxman Lab uses zebrafish as a model to understand the mechanisms underlying vertebrate cardiac development, with a particular interest in mechanisms that dictate overall heart as well as individual chamber size.
Applicants should be motived, creative individuals with a strong record of productivity during their graduate research. Ideal candidates will have experience or exposure to basic molecular biology, imaging, and bioinformatic techniques. Experience using zebrafish or studying development is not a requirement.
Cincinnati is a moderately-sized, extremely affordable city that is undergoing a dramatic rejuvenation.
Interested applicants should email a PDF containing their CV, a short statement of past and current research interests, and the names of at least three references to Joshua Waxman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
