SNPFisher : Variant Report Compiler

We are writing to make the community aware of SNPfisher (snpfisher.nichd.nih.gov), a new, user-friendly web resource for manipulating and incorporating genetic variation data into your experiments (Butler et al. 2015.  Development. 142: 1542-52).  The SNPfisher dataset is composed of SNP and indel variation observed in whole genome sequence from the EK, TL, and WIK strains.  SNPfisher is a scalable resource facilitating the use of strain variation data in whole genome (VCFs and new “Consortial Variant Format” or CVFs), gene (SNPfisher Variant Report Compiler and UCSC browser tracks) , and oligonucleotide (blat oligos, morpholino and CRISPR target sites) applications.  We encourage use of SNPfisher by the zebrafish community and seek the deposition of additional  non-mutagenized zebrafish whole genome or exome variation data to continually grow this resource
