Early Career Group Leader programme


The Francis Crick Institute is a new biomedical discovery research institute in central London dedicated to understanding the biology underlying health and disease.

We are core-funded by Cancer Research UK, the Medical Research Council, and the Wellcome Trust.

We seek creative and innovative individuals to establish new research programmes in:


All areas of biology and biomedicine (of particular interest are cancer and immunity and infection)

We are also looking for people interested in cardiac and vascular biology (special initiative, supported by the British Heart Foundation)


The Crick research environment

  • 120 research laboratories
  • Comprehensive Science Technology Platforms (STPs)
  • Animal husbandry and imaging
  • 250 graduate students, 400 postdocs


 

Our Package

  • Initial 6-year contract, renewable, to total 12 years
  • Salaries and consumables for up to five researchers, including graduate students
  • Opportunity to expand through external grant funding

  • Full lab setup in state-of-the-art laboratory space
