Research Associate Position - University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS

The Department of BioMolecular Sciences at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS is seeking a Research Associate to assist in our investigations of characterizing the transcriptomic and epigenetic changes associated with preconceptional exposure to the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, benzo[a]pyrene using a zebrafish model and will assess phenotypic alterations caused by exposures and mechanistically link the adverse outcomes with targeted and global transcriptomic analyses. As a Research Associate, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the research and publication process, from experimental design to data analysis and publication.

Duties may involve conducting developmental experiments, analyzing imaging, zebrafish husbandry, and training undergraduate laboratory members. The candidate will work closely with and report directly to Dr. Willett. Anticipated start date is as soon as possible. Apply at careers.olemiss.edu

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field.
