Postdoctoral Position - Rice University

A postdoctoral position is available to study the genetic and environmental regulation of zebrafish neural crest cell migration and differentiation during peripheral nervous system development in the Uribe lab at Rice University.

The Uribe lab uses zebrafish as a model to study the mechanisms underlying neural crest diversification into the peripheral nervous system, as well as how the misregulation of neural crest development leads to various pathological and neurodevelopmental disease states. uribelabrice.com

The lab uses a combination of live time-lapse imaging, transgenesis, chemical genetics, CRISPR-mediated gene knockout and RNA-seq analysis. Candidates with a strong background in developmental/molecular biology, zebrafish and/or in transcriptomics/bioinformatics are preferred.

To apply, please send a CV and contact details of three referees to Dr. Uribe at  ru5@rice.edu
