“Characterization of initiation, progression and spreading of pancreatic tumors in zebrafish “

Position : A two-year post-doctoral position (potentially renewable) is available for a motivated scientist interested by the generation and characterization of pancreatic tumors in zebrafish.  This project, is part of a collaborative project “Molecular drivers and markers of pancreatic cancer initiation and progression: a translational and multidisciplinary approach” funded by the Televie, and driven by 5 laboratories in Belgium using different models (zebrafish, mouse and human).  

Profile : Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in biology, pharmacy, medicine, veterinary sciences or biomedical sciences. They are expected to have a strong background in molecular biology and preference will be given to candidates who have expertise in cancerology. This postdoctoral fellowship is for applicant who has not  worked in Belgium for more than 24 months in the past 3 years and  has obtained his phD degree in the last 6 years. 

Location : Our laboratory is located at the University of Liège (Belgium), in the recently built GIGA institute that houses several high level research groups in the biomedical field. The institute provides dedicated cell culture facilities, virus, proteomic, transcriptomic, mouse and zebrafish facilities, state-of-the-art technology and equipment.
