Postdoctoral position to study Wnt signaling and embryonic cell polarity.

A postdoctoral position is available in the Sergei Sokol laboratory in the Department of Cell, Developmental and Regenerative Biology, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, to study Wnt signaling and cell polarity during early vertebrate development using Xenopus and zebrafish embryos and mammalian progenitor cells.  We are especially interested in cell behaviors during neural tissue closure and the mechanisms of skin and neural crest specification.  See our recent papers and the description of our interests at .

Preference will be given to highly motivated applicants with strong background in molecular and cellular biology, who published a first-author paper as a result of their graduate work.  Interested candidates may send their CV, list of publications and three references to Dr. Sergei Sokol  (
