Two Postdoctoral Positions - MSKCC, NYC

The Niethammer Lab at MSKCC, NYC is looking for two postdoctoral researchers with background in Cell Biology, Biophysics, Systems Biology, Bioengineering, Immunology, or Developmental Biology to join our team.

The Niethammer Lab takes a broad interest in the chemical and biophysical mechanisms that underlie epithelial inflammation and healing (Niethammer et al., Nature, 2009; Enyedi et al., Nature Cell Biology 2013; Gault et al., Journal of Cell Biology, 2014; Enyedi et al., Cell, 2016). The lab has a strong expertise in developing/applying quantitative imaging techniques in live animals (zebrafish) and cells. We are particularly appealed by interdisciplinary approaches. Exciting projects are available in the area of wound healing, inflammation, and cancer. Please inquire for details.

Requirements

• Excellence in molecular biology/biochemistry/genetic techniques.
• Experience with widefield/confocal live microscopy & image analysis.
• Of advantage: Basic programming/scripting experience.

• Candidates should be within one year before/after completion of their PhD.
• Reprints of 1-2 first authorship publications.
• On request: Letters of reference submitted by previous advisors.
