Postdoctoral Position - Yale University School of Medicine

One postdoctoral position is available at Yale Cardiovascular Research Center to study the role of miRNAs in developing blood vessels.

Our laboratory contributes extensively to vascular biology, development and miRNA function (2015 publications): Dev Cell, eLife, Cell Reports, JoVE.

A large survey of TALEN and CRIPSR/Cas9 zebrafish miRNA mutants is available in the lab to study miRNAs function in endothelial cell mechanisms such as specification, morphogenesis and mechanotransduction during development.

Candidates must have excellent molecular biology and microscopy skills in zebrafish development. Candidates are required to have strong interpersonal skills and outstanding written and spoken English to collaborate with a diverse team of scientists.

The Nicoli laboratory is located in the heart of the Yale campus and neighbors with major experts in vascular cell biology of mechanostrasduction (Schwartz lab), vascular development (Eichmann and Hirschi labs) as well as miRNAs experts (Sessa and Giraldez lab). Daily and weekly meetings among these laboratories will immerse candidates in an exciting and constructive environment in which they will growth within specific field communities and define future carrier goals.

Qualified candidates should have recently accomplished their PhD degree (within or after 2015) and send a cover letter summarizing their research interests, a list of journal publications in which they have first authors contribution along with contact information for 3 references to:
