Postdoctoral Position - North Carolina Central University

A postdoc position is available in a Zebrafish Biology Lab, in the Julius L. Chambers Biomedical/Biotechnology Research Institute at North Carolina Central University, to study hematopoiesis and cardiovascular development of zebrafish. We use molecular, genetic, and transgenic approaches to study the specification, patterning, and differentiation of the blood and vascular system. Our areas of research interest include: cellular signaling, hematopoiesis, vasculogenesis and angiogenesis; natural products and drug discovery for therapeutics. Applicants must be a strong team player and have excellent collaborative skills. The candidates have hands-on experience with cell, molecular and developmental biology and embryology is preferable.
