Postdoctoral Position - Mayo Clinic

A post-doctoral fellow position and a Research Technologist are available in the Zebrafish Genetics Laboratory of Dr. Xiaolei Xu at Mayo Clinic. The successful applicant will join a team that is taking genetic and genomic approaches to understand genetic basis of cardiomyopathy/heart failure.  We mainly use zebrafish as a model, and also apply rodent models for developing individualized therapies.  Applications are invited from candidates who have a background in cardiovascular diseases, genetics, and/or developmental biology with strong molecular biology skills. Past experience in rodent cardiac physiology and/or AAV-base gene transfer technology will be considered favorably. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated and have a strong commitment to basic research.
