Postdoctoral Position - Biology Program at NYU Abu Dhabi, to study epigenetic regulation of liver development and cancer using zebrafish

Post-doctoral position available to study epigenetic regulation of liver development and cancer using zebrafish.

Highly motivated and collaborative applicants are sought for a position of Postdoctoral Associate in the group of Dr. Kirsten Sadler Edepli in the Biology Program at NYU Abu Dhabi, Projects will be focused on the epigenetic regulation of liver development in zebrafish and on liver cancer regulated by UHRF1 as an extension of our recent publications (Jacob et al. 2015 Development 142: 510-21; Mudbhary et al 2014, Cancer Cell, 25: 1-14). Members of our interdisciplinary team studying DNA methylation will have the ability to integrate data between mice, zebrafish and human samples, and will undertake integrative analysis of bioinformatics analysis of RNAseq and genome wide methylation data from all species. Successful applicants will have obtained Ph.D.  or equivalent training in developmental biology, biochemistry, genetics, genomics or regenerative biology and will be able to lead a collaborative project involving multiple laboratories.  Successful applicants will have completed their Ph.D. or equivalent training in developmental biology, biochemistry, genetics, genomics or related fields prior to June, 2015. The ability to communicate ideas in a clear and compelling fashion demonstrated through having a first-author publication from previous research experiences and having participated in scientific meetings is essential.

Candidates with the availability to start prior to June, 2015 will be requested to begin work in the Sadler lab in New York City and then move to Abu Dhabi by January, 2016.
