A Post-Doc position is available for 2 years starting in Summer or Fall 2015 in Lab of Jacqueline Webb at University of Rhode Island. The project will focus on the analysis of the post-embryonic ontogeny of the sensory systems (vision, olfaction, hearing, lateral line) in neon gobies in the genus Elactinus, as part of a larger collaborative project on the role of larval orientation behavior in establishing patterns of population connectivity. The successful candidate should have a strong interest in sensory biology of fishes and ideally, experience in microscopy (light, fluorescence and/or SEM) and histology of vertebrate tissues.
