Division of Biomedical Cell Biology, Warwick Medical School, The University of Warwick
Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Sub-Faculty of Biomedical and Psychological Sciences, Monash University
Faculty of Medicine, The University of Warwick
Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Monash University

Location: University of Warwick, Coventry (80%), Monash University, Clayton Campus (20%)

The University of Warwick and Monash University are seeking to recruit a Professor of Biomedical Cell Biology. We are looking for an outstanding scientist who uses imaging techniques to pursue internationally leading research in the structural and functional analysis of molecular machines. Research areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, DNA replication, cell division, cell signalling, cell motility, infection and immunity. There will be opportunities to forge collaborations between the two institutions, and individuals who can complement on-going research at Warwick or Monash are especially encouraged to apply.
This will be a joint appointment between the two institutions. You will be based primarily at Warwick Medical School but are expected to spend a significant amount of time at Monash, to direct substantial research efforts in both institutions and to contribute to teaching and leadership. Resources will be available to facilitate this international program, including personnel, travel and other budgets.

Warwick Medical School has excellent infrastructure for biomedical cell biology research. The new appointment will be located in the Mechanochemical Cell Biology Building, a purpose-built facility that supports bench research alongside an outstanding light microscopy facility. Monash has outstanding facilities to support research in advanced imaging, with significant recent investment in cryo-electron microscopy, including the Clive and Vera Ramaciotti Centre for Structural Cryo-EM.
The appointment will be on two fractional contracts with University of Warwick (0.8 FTE) and Monash University (0.2 FTE) for a period of five years; thereafter you will ordinarily revert to a substantive, continuing professorial appointment at The University of Warwick. Salary will be commensurate with the specific university remuneration ranges. Travel and relocation benefits will apply.
