Research Associate, Institute of Neuroscience - University of Oregon

 

Research Associate positions become available on an ongoing basis within different research groups in the Institute of Neuroscience (ION) at the University of Oregon.  The purpose of this notice is to inform prospective Research Associate applicants how to apply for such a position. 

 

Please see the ION webpage at http://www.neuro.uoregon.edu/ for information regarding the type of research being done in individual research laboratories and within the ION generally. These Research Associate positions are limited duration appointments, with the possibility of renewal for up to three years depending on need, funding, and performance. Prospective applicants should directly contact the faculty member with whom they would like to collaborate with. It is expected that research interests of Research Associate applicants will complement and build on research being done by the faculty member with whom the applicant is interested in. It is generally assumed that applicants will apply to federal and private funding agencies to fund their salary during their appointment. A Ph.D. in a Biological science or related field and relevant research experience is required for a Research Associate position. Candidates who promote and enhance diversity are strongly desired.  Salary is dependent upon experience and available funding.
