The Children's Cancer Research Institute (CCRI) of the St. Anna Kinderkrebsforschung Association is a renowned multidisciplinary research institution with tight links to the spin-off company Labdia Labordiagnostik GmbH and the St. Anna Children's Hospital, a leading pediatric cancer center. The paramount aim of the CCRI is to improve treatment outcome of malignant diseases in children and adolescents by performing basic, translational and clinical research. Moreover, the development of novel diagnostic approaches and treatment concepts is a major focus of the CCRI and Labdia. Our comprehensive cancer center entertains close collaborations with many other research and clinical institutions worldwide.

The zebrafish group at the CCRI is looking for a qualified person to manage our zebrafish facility.

You should be a highly motivated and technically skilled individual with considerable experience in zebrafish husbandry. The successful candidate will maintain the newly built zebrafish facility at our research institute, will provide routine animal care and husbandry and will support researchers.

Minimum requirements include:
At least 6 months experience in zebrafish husbandry and in running a fish facility.
Knowledge of basic genetic principles and biosecurity.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently.

Desirable are furthermore good computer skills, knowledge of general principals of aquatic life support systems and analytic skills to resolve problems concerning malfunctions of the fish facility.

Planned entry of the successful candidate will be late spring of 2014. The minimum monthly salary for this position is € 2.500,00 gross (paid 14 times per year). Depending on your education and professional experience a higher salary is possible.
