Severe: Loss of fin colour,  fin colour not expected for strain, more than 20% of fins. Additional signs of stress present such as increased operculum movement                                           

 
  Blackened Blackened fins

Mild: Increased fin colouration, fin colouration not expected for strain, no more than 20% of body or fins

Moderate: Fins reddening, additional signs of stress present such as increased activity or lethargy
