Aquatics Specialist - EPA, Durham, NC

As Aquatics Specialist, you will perform all tasks necessary for the care and management of the on-site Zebrafish colonies. These tasks include: fish feeding, fish disease recognition and surveillance, routine testing of all applicable water quality parameters, knowledge of actions appropriate for correction of any water parameter abnormalities, preventive maintenance on rack pumps, filter systems, and dispenser systems, RO water operations, fish euthanasia, preparation of tissue samples for lab submittal, cleaning and disinfection of all equipment, zebrafish breeding, collection of fish embryos, artemia preparation, maintaining adequate supply levels, and all recordkeeping associated with aquatics.
